That brings something to my attention…I hope it’s not too far off topic…
I’ve heard from one of my music teachers that saxophone players that smoke generally have a better sound when they play. Gives it a really ‘smoky’ sound and such. I found this not too surprising. A lot of wind players I know in college smoke. Not chainsmoking or anything, but still. I didn’t know that smoking could actually affect a saxophonists timbre.
Still not a reason for me to start however…
