Actually Rountree you are just getting older so it seems like the systems are closer together. SNES was released when, 1991, and NES was released in 1985? N64 in '96, GameCube in 2001.

And then remember that N64 and GameCube were both released significantly later than their primary competitors…this explains why the new system is in 4 years instead of 5, Nintendo wants to catch up with Sony’s release schedule.

I think I’ll just resort to emulation. I don’t like buying expsneive stuff that will be outdated soon.

Game Cube and GBA didn’t last that much, did them?
Depends on how long till Nexus comes out. No one know for sure how many or long the delays could be.

It’s not a new console unless it plays games the older model can’t, or plays them much nicer, in which case, exclusive games will follow. Everything on GBA can be played on GBA SP, and viceversa. And it will be like that, since there is essentially no way to make a GBA SP exclusive game. Well, you could make it so dark that it’s only playable with a frontlit screen, but that’s what wormlights are for.
Also, the GC did last that long. 4 years.
