Yeah, I was wondering about that while reading this thread. In most hostage situations*, I don’t think that the people who are making the demands should be given some, besides “release the hostages”.
*Not that I’ve been in many situations, myself, of course. >_>

The hostages deaths shall be on your head not mine. Who are the hostages? That information is needed before we start meeting your demands.
