Okay lets assume one of the slasher villains in the movies found redemption and used his or her deadly powers for good and protecting the innocent. Who would be the coolest?
My vote for coolest slasher HERO is Jason from Friday the 13th. what about the rest of you?
Freddy, fool. He was witty, and had Bruce Dickinson record his killing music. Plus, the hat is all class, babe.
Witty ya, but nasty, I caN’T see him pulling a spiderman or something to save the day. no redeeming quality, though he might make a fun and interesting hero. I still say Jason.

Wait, you say Freddy wouldn’t be a good hero because he has no redeeming qualities? What redeeming qualities does Jason have?
Jason is more sympathetic to the viewer, a child like personality if you really think about it. If you see the alternete end of Jason vs Freddy, you would see the girl saying she felt sorry for him.
Redeemiing qualities, I think all you’d have to do is get him away from momma’s influence, and you’d have him see the light.
Freddy has seen it, but still rejected it.

But hey, they do have an honor code, and don’t kill for fun - only good prey, ie. things that can put up a fight. Even if it’s been done before, it does make sense.
Jason’s like the geek who got picked on and instead of plotting revenge from his basement, kills everyone who wronged him. And then kills everyone who looks like those people. He’s so far removed from his original purpose for revenge that he has no redeeming qualities.
If he was a hero he’d be like a rampaging Hulk. There’d be no way to control him.
The Predators.
The Zombies from Resident Evil. It would just be so fucking badass.
Not the zombies, but Nemesis, He’d be a cool hero.
