I can hardly believe I might actually play Mother 3. I’ve been waiting for this ever since I saw the first previews for Earthbound 64 in Nintendo Power, way back when. I’m all a-quiver.

I got it on my flash cart and running a-ok, minus an odd stuttering when I finished naming everyone and their dog.
I haven’t tried playing the JP version so it’s all new to me, though I DO know how the plot more or less ends so the ultimate spoiler is no secret to me. Not to mention what was hinted at in Brawl.
Also, the music. Again, from Brawl, it’s really cool hearing some of the originals, especially the ‘Love’ theme, it’s really good. ‘Snowman’ and ‘Humoresque of a Little Dog’ are Mother series staples, of course.
Downloading. Did we really think we’d get rpgs for N64?

Ok, wow. Not only did we get Mother 3 in english from a highly dedicated team, at last, but they’re going one step further and giving us a strategy guide to rival the one packaged with Earthbound.
They even went so far as to make their own clay models of the characters to use as images.
I know I could just get all this info on the internet, but… I kinda want one.
I already preordered it.
From what I saw it looked pretty good. My point was that N64’s rpgs were few and far between, especially compared to SNES. There was Paper Mario, a Harvest Moon, that Quest 64 game…
Heh, if that SNES emulator for the DS/GBA becomes more compatible, I think I’d play Terranigma again.
Hooray! I’m not quite finished yet, but deep into chapter 7 and things are moving along well, so I don’t think it’ll be too much longer. I didn’t even read the stuff in Brawl about what’s going on, except for who King P is, so this is all new to me. Also, I haven’t preordered their Strategy Guide yet, but I’ll do it soon

Well, I just beat it. Great game. It definitely felt like the Earthbound we all loved. It got surprisingly deep as teh end drew near, but it was done well, I thought.
A++ would play again.
I just started it. It seems to be much darker than Earthbound was. Much of the oddity is still intact, though (one of the enemies is a baked yam).
