McDonalds possibly getting sued over Happy Meals?

Basically, some group decided that McDonald’s was violating some laws in a few states, and wants to make them out as child molesters since they’re giving away toys with “junk” food and bombarding kids with shifty advertising.

“McDonald’s is the stranger in the playground handing out candy to children,” said CSPI litigation director Stephen Gardner. “It’s a creepy and predatory practice that warrants an injunction.”

Really? Did somebody just get bored one day or royally fucked over and just decide to do this? Granted, I don’t really care for McDonald’s, but the whole thing just seems kinda stupid. Even then, they’re not the only fast food establishment that does this. (Burger King, Wendy’s, Sonic, Whataburger, etc.) Even more so, this has been going on for years and somebody now is raising a fit over this?

The bigger issue is who doesn’t bombad children with shifty advertising or “junk” food?

Seriously. It’s a cold day in hell when I see any group take children even half seriously instead of viewing them as either annoying wastes of time or the shortest distance between themselves and the child’s parent’s credit card account.

Well then, they better sue Mattel, all those cereal companies, and any other company that sells toys or toys with their products. Because they push their shit just as much as McD’s does.
And really? If you’re making a comparison between a creepy pedo guy and a company to which the parent is the patron of…those parents are pretty much so just HANDING over their kid to the creepy pedo guy. Which means they probably shouldn’t have children to begin with since they obviously aren’t responsible for their welfare. :slight_smile:
