Yeah, the internet’s a silly place. I dunno. People are dumb, and they don’t have to pretend they aren’t, under the guise of onlineity Everyone else has already offered all the awesome advice n’stuff, and I’m glad your gf is feeling better, Dalton.
On a side note, I think it’s kinda cool how we’re all so over-the-top with our compliments of everybody’s beauty on the picture posting thread - even though it might just be exaggerated sometimes, it’s still really nice to gather up the courage to post your picture and then have a post after it saying, “you’re soooooo hot! :D~~” or whatever. It just, makes you feel that much happier about yourself and what else are friends for, right? Hell, I’d rather hang around with people who compliment me than people who treat me like shit. But that goes without saying.

Yeah, I’ve kinda got mixed feelings on the whole over-complimented picture thread, Maz and CC both have good points. The comliments are really based on “are the people you talk to most often at RPGC, the type who have the mentality to post compliments in the picture posting thread?”.
I don’t think it really matters though, as the original creator of the picture posting thread (ClessNess, whose thread outlived him) said, [it’s not really about the compliments], it’s just so we can see what you look like.
Don’t listen to people on the Internet. They are just people on the Internet. Which makes them about as important as the fleas living on a homeless mutt.
What kinda friend am I if I don’t support Dalton (and his gf), knowing that his gf had been teased at the gamefaqs boards. Well… Basically everyone’s said all the things that I wanted to say… So… Yea tell Sarahsuke to join RPGC! If possible, I’d like ta kick some of those LUEsers’ arse!! … But in reality, I might get squashed like a bug if I were to kick 'em in person… :thud:
What do I tell newbies? “Don’t take anything here too seriously”. That can be applied to message boards in general. I don’t want to sound like one of those “get over it” people, but you GF does need to learn not to take anything on the Web too personally. Although finding and punishing the people spamming her in any way possible would cheer me up. I used to go in some AOL chatrooms when I go bored and called Mods on people who acted innappriately for fun.
