Linux X-box group blackmails Microsoft

Personally, I am against this. IMO they’ve just ensured that there will NEVER be an official Linux boot loader for the X-box (even though the chance that would happen was just about as big as Santa Claus showing up in June).

Oh well… Happy wave of piracy, Microsoft.

Doh… @$$h0|€$!
Now that was plain dumb on their part. They’re basically blown all their chances of cooperation.

Santa Claus shows up midsummer in the southern hemisphere. However, I doubt there would have ever been any cooperation between the two.

Technically there’s a lot of them already: Due to bugged loading routines in a lot of X-Box games. Most noticeable the game used by that group to crack the X-Box: Some James Bond game. Further proof that secret agents are no good.

We all know there wouldn’t have been released an offical Linux loader for the X-Box: Not without it costing the difference between a X-Box and an ordinary PC, and the Windows operative system. What would Microsoft earn on rendering the X-Box a cheap PC, that on top of being a cheap PC, runs an opposing operative system.

Yeah, what she said. Microsoft would never, even if hell freezes over, approve the usage of an opposing OP in one of their products. What the hell where they thinking?

Well, Santa comes here in summer but it’s still december.

DIdn’t microsoft make it their policy to oppose linux in all ways possible? Anyway, once this group releases whatever it is they found out, X-box piracy will apparently be relatively easy. This sort of thing makes Bill Gates mad.

Not really. Summer in the southern hemisphere starts Dec 21st and ends March 21st, therefore making February 6th more around the midsummer range.

Oh, and nice TD.

Running Linux on anything with the Microsoft Logo on it is stupid. As much as I support Linux and hate Microsoft, I think Linux should have its own console.

Tux-Box. It’ll have games like Penguinigma, Final Installation: Linux From Scratch, Super Tux Bros, Tux Bros Smash That Windows Icon, Legend of Princess Tux: Penguin of Time. And other twisted games, featuring penguins on rampage and crack.

I’d probably play a game featuring penguins going on crack-fueled rampages.

What? I’m just saying there’d be a market, however small, for it…
