Let's read Chick Tracts!

You know, one of the funniest things I’ve seen in my school life was a group of people who came from US to try converting people here. They were offering a course, along the lines of “Learn English with Christ! It’s also free! Don’t forget to bring a bible written in English.”

That was back when I joined RPGC. It was also the first time I saw a Chick tract, they gave me one. But back then I didn’t know about Chick and didn’t care, so I threw the tract away when they weren’t seeing. If I knew about Chick back then I’d have kept the tract so we could make fun of it now.

Lew Siffer…that’s about as bad as Supe R. Man.

My friend Sol: My dad is muslim. My mom is a voodooist. I’m a Rasta. I am fucked.

… Great there racist and repetitive.

:moogle: so the moral of the DnD one is that all DnD players are in cults?
it also reminds me of this.

I concur. Whoever wrote that should be exiled to Antartica.

I would find the Catholic one offensive, but it’s so misinformed it’s not worth it. Fun Fact: Catholics do NOT worship Mary or the saints, we ask them to pray for us to God.
The D&D one is funny. What kind of loser kills their own self over a character (that the DM killed out of spite).

Par for the course when it comes to D&D hit pieces. Most of D&D’s detractors say that it degrades our ability to distinguish fantasy from reality, but in most cases they’re projecting.

The rest are just parrots.

Great pun Steve. Samramis indeed.

God, “Doom Town” is funny. “Oh no! Their electro ray will surely destroy Metropolis!”

“Angels?” is my favorite though.
<ul>
<li>They tool around in the fucking <i>Mystery Machine</i>.
<li>Those lyrics; “We’re gonna rock, rock, rock, <b>Rock</b> with the <b>Rock</b>”? “Embrace me, love of death”? Talk about a band that has its finger on the pulse of the generation <.<
<li>“Then I’ll give you a nice wedding present…<i>some AIDS</i>”
<li>And who knew that prayers could zap satan. I don’t know which scares me more; this, or <a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_opera_in_Scientology_doctrine”>this.</a>
</ul>

I’m just waiting for him to come out with one abouit anime. Just, well, because.

Oh, and for another Chick parody, here are some mirrors of the Famous Cthulhu Chick Tract Parody, <a href="http://www.piratejesus.com/nerdcore/data/cthulhu/">"Who</a> <a href=“http://esr.ibiblio.org/?p=135”>will</a> <a href=“http://bellend.strtok.net/~tyler/cthulhu/”>be</a> <a href=“http://maxpontifex.blogspot.com/”>Eaten</a> <a href="http://tsat.transform.to/i.34/cmc.34.mr.html">First?"</a>

Here’s <a href=“http://www.howardhallis.com/bis/cthulhuchick/”>the original site</a>, but after a lawsuit from Chick, Howard Hallis removed it.

And finally, a <a href=“http://www.weirdcrap.com/chick/index.html”>Chick parody archive</a>.

you are free to leave and have the right to do so. you don’t HAVE to stay here.
i’m certainly not keeping you.

Hey good idea, let’s associate the lunatic fringe with the country as a whole. Just like how I hate the middle east because it’s full of terrorists.
