ive never played LoD is it good? 
It is alright, there are better RPGs out there. But if you can put up with the poor translations, in parts of the game, and the slightly… cliched (I’m not really sure cliched is the right term, put I can’t think of it right now) plot. Then I would suggest looking out for it. Since it is a reasonable way to spend some time.

Lugia, do you get DRE’s? Or just freezes at a certain point? DRE = Disc Read Error, if you didn’t know.
no DREs, and it’s not quite freezing either, but what I call blacking out. The screen fades to black, but instead of loading up the next screen, it stays black. and nothing else happens.
Hmm… I’ve never had a problem like that. Try getting a non-greatest hits version, if you have the original, or vice-versa. Or just a new copy. It’ll work out in the end.
I have the same proble with Tales of Destiny 2 after you meet the dojo down by the river except the screen turns white instead of black and doesnt load for ages. Its such a pain!

points a few posts back I did exchange it already, exactly same problem. And my memory card broke, so now i need to do it all over again. sigh, only wireless controlers for me now.

Well no it doesnt or didnt, i had to take it back, i was playing it on my psone aswell…not my ps2, such a nuisance, grrr! :thud: p:unch::
I have the same problem; it’s greatest hits, it’s on a ps2, it’s after the same scene, same situation…different ps2, maybe? Do you know your ps2’s ps1/cd driver version? Mine is 2.00, and my software version of the ps2 in general is scph75001. If yours is the small ps2, maybe that’s linked. I’ve gone through 5 different copies of disk 2, and they all have the same problem… anyway, please respond when it is convinient, because I do not think this is mere coincidence… This IS verrrry frustrating…
