I’d comment that it didn’t have to be a “gaming die” and they could’ve just used it for gambling, but I’m not going to because it’s much more fun to imagine Caesar playing D&D. :smiley:

Indeed. I would go so far as to say that BECAUSE they didn’t have the technology of today, they had GREATER imagination. Well, the greater part is debatable, but what else do you do to have fun? Consider Greek and Roman pottery and architecture, which are studied as art. They would not be what they were/are without creative imagination.
