I'm surprisingly calm after today.

I remained pretty calm and gatehred myself fairly quickly all things consider on this shitty day of January 10, 2004. Sadly enough, I have come up with my best jokes ever on this fuckin’ crappy day. You give me anything and I’ll turn it into a great joke in flash. Why must my joking skills come around traumatic events? Damn, I need to figure out how to get them to come otherwise. The price for a good joke just too much. I hate being this materialistic, but I’m so going to buy a game tomorrow and I’m not going to feel guilty one bit. I may not really be able to afford it (especially with colllege fees going up even more again [10% this time]). However, I think a new game may make me feel really good right about now. However, NO CAR games. That would not make me feel to good all things considered. If I got a racing game I’d be driving like a granny making sure I didn’t hit anything. Sucks too since the next gaem I thought I’d get sometime would be Need for Speed: Undergound. That’s out of the question. However, I feel the need to do something, perhpas why I’m making a second topic so soon after my first, in which you learned the value of “WHEREING YOUR FUCKING SEATBELT!!!” Man, I lost one of my most comfortable shirts today…unless the blood comes out of course. Aw well, I’m gonna go do something else (it may just be another post, but I don’t know at this point). Bye!

Because your adrenalin is at max, but anyway are you going to tell us what happened? I think we can piece together the general idea, but you know.

Try soaking the shirt in salt-water for a while, then in an ammonia/water solution. Hydrogen Peroxide usually works as well, just make sure it won’t stain it more. And make sure you use cold water.

What?

Not for a couple of days. Maybe next week, maybe after a certain undetermined date (probably sometime this month). It is still too soon to tell others that I’m not close too…especially on a message board. I just gotta get stuff out. Heck, I’m usally pretty quiet, but I’ve been VERY talkative today.

Adrenalin, huh? That could be it.

I may try that, I’ve got nothing to lose, the shirt is unservicable at its current state anyways.

All right, if my first answer was unsatisfactory. Then I won’t share all the details because I feel it would be disrespectful to my friends. You get as much information as the reporter!

Best I’ll tell you is that if you live near 29 Palms or Palm Springs you can probably read about it in the newspaper or hear about it on TV. Also, I was already tired of this “humanity is doomed”, “humanity is stupid”, etc. bullshit, but today it just strengthens my arguement even more. I’ve already had a couple of incidents to prove you wrong that I haven’t posted, but today is the greastest of all. The people that lived near the accident where saints. They helped in so many ways and were so friendly, it was unreal…more so…They literally opened up their homes to friends and I. They gave us water, comforted us, and did MILLIONS of other great things for us. So if strangers can do that, then humanity surely not doomed. Sure we may have idiots here and there…grrrrr…but on a whole, humans are very good. Very good.

I won’t hound you as too what happens. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious, but if you truly don’t want to talk about it yet, then don’t worry. Feel free to when you have gathered your thoughts.

I myself haven’t had any sudden tragedies like this before, so I can’t say I understand completely, but I can know that it’s a kind of loss thats worse than that which I have felt.

Shit, dude, your state of mind is understandable. Did everyone at least get through the accident without being badly hurt?

I would think he’s taking it pretty well, though it’ll take a day or 2 to really settle in.

No…which is why I don’t want to go into all the details involved. I wasn’t in the car, I was in the one right behind it and saw EVERYTHING. I almost was in the car and before we left I wanted to be in that car instead of the one I was in, boy I got lucky there.

Shit. Well, take it real easy for a few days, man.

Yeah Nick, take a day or two (or however long you need) to refocus yourself. And to get everything back on track (if that’s possible), and hopefully when that is sorted you may wish to talk about everything with someone.

And you are right humanity is not doomed, is just takes something big to get people to do things right.

Cars are dangerous. That is why people won’t let me drive them. *Nod, nod.

I don’t know what has happened, beyond that there has been an accident in which someone probably got seriously hurt. So what I am going to do, is wish you and everyone else involved in the accident best of luck onwards.

Jokes are escapist in nature. And everyone would want to escape from thinking about a serious accident they have been involved in.
