The problem with idiots is that they are, in large enough masses, competent enough to tear down those who would dare to excell and improve the lives of all (incl. said idiots). And, unable to see beyond the scope of their own instant gratification, are easily conned/scared into doing just that, and screwing themselves and everybody else over.
And so the Delitas seize power and manipulate them, while the Ramzas drop out of the whole picture in disgust (letting the Delitas cement power to the point that when one of the Ramzas tries to curtail the Delitas in the sake/name of justice, the Delitas have little trouble turning the idiots against the Ramzas, all the while believing it’s for their own good when it really isn’t).
And so we get a world where good people and excellent people are destroyed and mediocre hacks thrive and proliferate.
