There’s a search bar in my IE, it makes me unhappy and it keeps coming back. I’m looking for a way to drive a truck sized delete command thru it’s metaphorical ass, but I can’t find what triggers it. What’s that non-ad-aware spyware killer program called again and where is it?
Search for “spybot search and destroy” that should take care of it, or at least it took care of mine.

Ad-aware, AdAware, I was close. Still, I did mean spybot whatchamacall it and I downloaded it. It didn’t fix the problem immediatly but I’m hoping when I reboot maybe it’ll go away since it’s startup triggered.
When I reboot anyway…
Sometimes those toolbars are a complete bitch to remove, if spybot doesn’t catch it, you’ll probably have to search around for the removal instructions that’ll actually get rid of it.

Some are listed in add/remove programs as well albeit not many. You are prolly going to have to search as said above.
Reboot in safe mode and run spybot, works a lot better.

i went on to suprnova.com just to check what new files they have got and then i got a popup and suddenly i get all this crap on my desktop. so every time i go ont he internet it keeps passing through some dam site ecmh.com and i then get a little toolbar at the bottom of my screen with icons to click on like porn or games (mostly porn). i’ve deleated every thing i’ve searched on it but it keeps coming up. how do i get rid of it?
