EDIT: I find it highly ironic that it dates back to '01 and he gives out his well wishes saying he MUST conquer the cave and says he’ll be back by that night to chronicle his adventure…and when you go to the next page of his story, there’s nothing there. I think that’s all it might be is a story:ah-ha!:

No dude, the point is that he was keeping this website going WHILE he was doing all this stuff - and his family and friends read it every so often (which is why he was making reference to them), and the creepy part is, he says he’ll be back soon…and then it ends. Evidently SOMETHING prevented him from making an update…something deadly.

Yeah the whole thing sounds a bit cliche but in the beginning it sounded believable. Now er…I just don’t know. They probably went into the cave purposely to make that story. Still creepy though. Maybe he just didn’t want to update anymore?</sarcasm>:yipee:

Yeah, that’s exactly what I thought, the ending sounded so much like a an ending and not just another chapter in the diary. Still a good read though.
Maybe he secretly knew that he wouldn’t return, so he concluded it in a way.
I think it’s pretty interesting, I wonder what he saw in that cave, or encountered… Jeeze musta been something messed, why else would he get so scared and just run away?

Seems pretty unbelievable. But a helluva scary story. Reminds me of those old cave-exploring text adventures, but a lot freakier.
