Best 28 dollars I ever spent. The animation is awesome, and the music is great too.
It’s the sequel to Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger, but you don’t have to have watched those to enjoy Mazinkaiser; the only requirement is that you are a Super Robot fan in order to truly appreciate this show.
Like Godannar, Mazinkaiser is old school. Little character development or plot, but so much ass kicking that it freaking hurts.
One ep is dedicated to fanservice too (ep 4), and there’s alot of boobies there.
It’s 6 episodes of pure awesomeness.
And the last, seventh episode is stunning. One of the greatest final battles ever.
The production values for all those seven episodes are just astonishing. It’s a true homage to old school mecha anime.
This OVA was alot of fun. I enjoyed it alot; I am gonna go watch it again. This OVA ranks up to GaoGaiGar and Godannar for me.

Ooo, Maz-in-Kaiser? ( It was much too tempting. ) It actually sounds pretty decent, it’s almost so it’s unfortunate that I haven’t the money or the time to actually buy and watch it.
Koji Kabuto’s voice actor is still the same one from Mazinger Z. The guy is over 60 years old, and he still sounds awesome.
But Guy’s voice actor from GaoGaiGar wins absolutely. No one can give a better perfomance for a Super Robot anime than that guy ( pun not intended >_>) He’s also the guy who made Kouji the coolest character in Godannar.
I really need to see Mazinkaiser now (at least SRWJ can satisfy me a little Mazinger team=OWNAGE)
Last year a friend of mine showed me Getter Robo for the first time and it has become one of my favorite Super Robot series,the Japanese voice actors are awesome.
