I haven’t seen Scarface, but Apollo 13 is, what I would consider, a great movie. It’s got very compelling acting, a moving storyline and a portrays a meaningful event in our history. Terminator and Batman, movies I’ve seen, I wouldn’t classify as movies that anyone has to see, mainly because they are designed to appeal to a specific audience, and that they aren’t all that great anyway.
Merlin: Well, I’ve left it open ended because I want to open up to different movies. I like my movies like I like my music, diverse. I watch everything from hardcore porn to romantic comedies, so by giving stronger parameters I’m only limiting myself.
Hades: I’ve never really taken much of what you’ve said seriously (ever), and going into this I didn’t expect to take any of what you’ve said seriously now either. This thread isn’t about belittling other people’s choices in movies, and by doing so you only exemplify the narcissistic wannabe-know it all characteristics that make you who you are. Just list your movies and move along, don’t try to be cool by saying that other peoples choices of movies suck, because I could go on forever with a long winded essay about how terrible anime is. But do I? No. Why? Because a) it doesn’t matter that much and b) who cares if you like anime or scarface?
