Star Wars : Galaxies, there’s good news and there’s bad news :
The good news : It’s out.
The bad news : It’s only out in fucking the USA!
That’s just a disgrace.
Buh. I don’t like Star Wars games at all anyway.
I’m probably not going to get it.
I would let the reviews decide for me, if I had any money.
I read all that in PC Gamer, they did a playtest of it on an imported version, the graphics are supposed to be good, but there are quite a few bugs at the moment.
Star Wars Galaxies as it is out in stores right now, is nothing more than a public pay-to-enter beta test. Most the functions are MIA or not properly working, and the programming staff responsible for the game is in a state of disgust at the publisher for releasing the game in such an obviously shoddy state.
Avoid it like the plague until around 8 months from now, it should be fixed up by then. Of course that also means the game’s going to get a lot of bad reviews out of the gate, and that’ll probably keep some people away, but it’s Star Wars, so there’ll be no lack of players.

Well as an avid EVE player I’m automatically biased against SW:Galaxies, but from what I’ve heard the game (SWG) simply has no content, most of the features don’t work and there’s really nothing new there, the only interesting thing about it is that its set in the star wars universe, but that’s about the extent of it.
I also personally find that simply graphic wise EVE is hard to beat,
