I don’t remember if they changed it or not, or if it applied to media, too, but copyrights expire in the US after a certain period of time. Books from 19-dickety-2 are in public domain now, so if Little Bear was made before then, then yes, it would be obsoleteware. But seeing as Little Bear wasn’t made until recently, you will likely never see it in the public domain unless you live well into your 100s.
The most memorable one-liner from the show for me is: “Oh yeah, we called the tall one ‘geek-tard,’ and then I cast a spell on his ass, …with my foot!” That was in the episode where Bobby was doing the whole hokus pokus, mumbo jumbo black magic crap.
I’m fond of all the characters, especially the whole alley saying, “yep.” The shows characters are all so diverse in traits it’s too hard to pick favorites. But…Dale is on the top for me, just because of the humor of him believing Joseph is his son. I mean, Dale catches Nancy and Redcorn in bed together and apologizes for interrupting the “migraine treatment.” Too damn funny.
Lol :hahaha; Yeah. It’s even funnier that Joseph doesn’t realize it either and believed the alien idea, too. There was the episode he waited in a field for the aliens to come and get him, and I think Dale gave him a jar of “alien urine” as an “incentive” or something.
Yes but in the same movie, iirc, the ship went through a wormhole and somehow materialised slap-bang in front of the Nimbus, so something similar may very well happen.
As for King of the Hill, I love the show (and hope they start releasing DVDs again sometime soon) but was a little freaked out last year when Hank’s dad and Hank’s wife ran for the US presidency.
I wasn’t a fan of Futurama until after it was cancelled. I’m gald it’s back. I just hope I remember to look for it in 2010 so I can DVR them all.
As for King of the Hill, I like the show. “Animation Domination” is one of my weekly rituals. I kinda like the one one were Hank sends Bobby to clown college. Then he gets taught all this drama crap. When Bobby puts on a show at his school Hanks makes Bobby do all his old jokes because the drama stuff wasn’t funny.
My all time favorite is when Bobby takes the women’s self defense class and kicks Hank in the balls. “That’s not my purse!”
I was actually a little annoyed when the Futurama movies started to come out, since Futurama was the ONE SHOW we had actually managed to have a complete collection of.
I love the show, and I guess I’m okay with spending my fiance’s hard-earned greenbacks for more DVDs if it means more awesome.
If the most recent season of The Simpsons is anything to go by then I doubt that it will suck (an episode devoted to riffing off of Professor Layton and Angels and Demons :ark:).
Simpsons has been mediocre since, like, season 10 or so. I don’t know exactly since I don’t know perfectly which episode was in which season. And yeah, fine, it wasn’t immediately there, but it slid down rapidly.
