is it true?
If the Bangaa, the Moogles, the Nu Mou, and the…(crap, the rabbit women) were not enough of a clue, yes, that is true.
Where the hell is ‘Ivalice’ in FFXII? See I got lost after Squaresoft slept with Playstation in 1996 and produce their retarded SquareEnix offspring. It is all about the graphics, freakin Online features, and not about true story and gameplay.
Ivalice is the world in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, which btw was on the GBA, something that is not reknowned for it’s graphics and “freakin Online features”.
Ivalice seriously changed between Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and whereas, in ffta most of the plot is more so inserted to make an excuse for battle, fft had a much more fulfilling and theatrical plot, I sort of wish that story would be part of FFXII, but surely it won’t. From the demo of FFXII that came with dwVIII, this game will be as similar to any ivalice plot line as it will to vagrant story game play, another claim made, but not followed through. Though, if you really want to make a stretch, you could conceive of how they arrived at the gameplay if they started with the vagrant story battle type.
XII was made by the same team who did Vagrant Story and FFT. Vagrant Story had two or three FFT easter eggs lying around and if you want to be really nerdy, you could even say that they took place in the same world. Despite this, the games had nothing that tied them together.
So yes, it’s called Ivalice, but it’s not Ramza’s Ivalice. The team must be trying to make the name their trademark.
FFTA never happened.
shut up! that game kicked ass!:bowser:
It made me cry tears of blood. Tears of blood.
Made me consider taking my online life.
There called Vierra and at this moment right now Hugh Hefner is somewhere trying to make one through gene splicing.
FFTA reminded me of FFMQ, watered-down, and simple, for the kiddies. They are to good ff’s what MacDonald’s Hamburger Patties are to steak. But, that doesn’t mean that I did not play them, beat them or own them, as they are the black sheep of the family, at least in my opinion. Like resident evil: survivor to the rest of the resident evil series, or The Adventure of Link was to the rest of the Zelda series, betrayals of the genre, horrible compared to the rest, but blood brothers to the good games none the less.
are you insane
I dislike FFVII more than most people, but this just didn’t make sense. Square remained Square for years after making Playstation games, and even produced some incredible titles for ths system (FF9 comes to mind immediately). What’s more, Enix, as a company, freaking ROCKS (if you’re not a DQ fan, at least give some love to the Soul Blazer or Actraiser series’). Since they became Square Enix, they’ve actually given MORE love back to Nintendo (on GBA and Gamecube), so disliking the fact that they went Playstation AND the fact that they merged with Enix doesn’t make sense. Also, Enix is far more likely to make games where the graphics don’t matter (read: DQ7). And, to date, I’ve only heard of TWO online games that SE has their hands on (FFXI and Front Mission: Online).
