Oh god, those character designs are the worst yet! I most certainly will not be playing this. Is Nomura behind that? Why the unholy fuck hasnt someone fucking murdered him yet?
The “A” in FFTA alone makes me cringe, but I’m willing to put aside the hatred Marche and co. inspired if this actually turns out to be good. At least I’ll be going into it with far lower expectations, so it should be okay.

Yeah, seriously. They’ve already got basic emulation and touch-screen control going, so what’s the hold-up? Are graphics and sound kinks really that hard to figure out once the format is down?
It really pisses me off that all these sequels and upgrades are on handhelds. I have no use for a handheld, especially for RPGs. I can’t stare at those little screens long enough. That and I only play games at home.
Oh well, I can only hope it’s better than the last one.
The bases for most of everything are already set, but Shash has only just started implementing 3D rendering, which is used in a huge amount of games, so that’ll still take a long while to make it passably functional. And after that of course is hunting bugs and optimizing the as of now slow-as-shit performance. There’s still some ways to go.
Dragons Revenge: HEY! Don’t bad mouth Nomura! Besides, he’s not involved in the Ivalice project that involve the ones who do FFT,FFTA, & FFXII. But don’t bad mouth them either. Nomura’s working on “It’s a Wonderful World”, FFXIII series, KH3, & much more.
Back on topic, I think the artt looks good in a anime format, looking like a cross of design of “Eureka Seven” & FFU. I expect a link to the last FFTA game.

As for Nomura, it’s not that people really hate his designs so much as the fact that they’re just sick of them by now. I personally like the designs quite a bit, as long as they keep him away from directorial duties.

As for Nomura, I like his designs and I really have to issue with him directing, just as long as he does a good job with presenting his story.
No, I hate his designs. I FUCKING HATE his designs. They were alright with FFVII and VIII, but then he started to display some sort of sick bondo-fetish with all the leather and belts, and absofuckinglutely gaudy colors and mismatched shoes and pants and uber-effeminite males with short shirts and bare middriffs, and… Seriously, does he just pound a 40 of mash liquor and just draw the first thing that comes to his mind?
I’m not a fan of his directing duties- I’m sure you know how much I despise FFX-2 and Advent Children, but they arent as god awful as his Post FFVIII Characters.
Obviously the reason I thought he did the designs was because they looked as garish and fugly as anything he would do.
Either way, they sure love weird clothes. I wonder what stuff the designers are on. Haven’t seen anything so bizarre since Legend of Mana.
Well now if you don’t think you can get enough of the main character in this game alone you can find him in the FFT remake as well. He’s supposedly going to appear sometime after the 2nd trip to the monastery.

I saw that. Somehow it doesnt look quite so bad. Maybe because the actual FFT character designs dont look quite so cartoony.
