Final Fantasy 7 gets awarded #1 game moment of all time!!!

Yea, I think FFX had many, many better moments than FF7.

It is not surprising FF7 got the greatest moment, since it has been voted the “Greatest PS1 game”, for a long time now.

As for the whole Gaming Channel, here we get one called Game Network. It used to be great, showing new games, great competitions, and GameClip (where they show games scenes, while playing music, fitting what is happening on scene).

But after a while, it just started going down hill, and it still has not reached rock bottom.

Speaking as someone who has finished FF7 but not FFX, lemme get back to you on that.

I think FF10’s moments surpass that of FF7. But FF7 has such an air of prestige and greatness about it that there’s no way most people will call it better.

I don’t think I ever got that vibe or air of prestige and greatness. :too bad;

EDIT: Spelling… >_<

Dubol EDIT: I think I got those from Chrono Trigger and Earthbound. They were a couple of my very first RPG’s. Probably just after Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (Which I also love) O_x

I don’t know about you all, but Aeris’ dead will probabaly have nothing on Banegie’s death scene in Traysia. That has me sad for at least three days.

Amen to that Gabe.

Anyway, I can think of plenty f better moments. Maybe FFVII was the first one to actually affect some people, but nowadays there are just more better ones.

Was PH4 before or after FFVII? I have no idea about anything PS related whatsoever.

I don’t think anything from any of the Final Fantasies should have made a list of the greatest game moments of all time.

I disagree. Some of the set-pieces on those games are the best ever.

FF 7 was the first upgraded FF and most of its popularity is based on hype alone. Her death wasn’t that dramatic to earn a #1 spot but it was such a publisized character death, to a point where it got everyone talking. I remember when it first came out and my gamer cousins wouldn’t shut up about that scene. I agree it should be far lower on the list.

I think the Omaha Beach scene was more heart-houndingly emotional than anything else. It’s the only thing I ever flinched at when I died.

Yeah, the Omaha Beach scene completely blew the Aeris scene out of the water.

Was PH4 before or after FFVII? I have no idea about anything PS related whatsoever.

Phantasy Star IV was made in 1994 I believe. The death of Alys’ scene still beat out Aeris’ death in FFVII.

FFVII’s scene: Aeris runs from the part to the City of the Ancients (or whatever it was called) to try to summon Holy to take and stop Meteor from crashing. Her last words when being impaled by Sephiroth were “…” Not a whole lot if you ask me. Just a lot of crying on Cloud’s part after that. Though Holy was summoned, the death overall just didn’t have a lot of feeling behind it. The music was good on this scene though.

PSIV’s scene: Alys, in a valiant effort to save her partner Chaz, steps in the way of the Black Energy Wave. She doesn’t die immediately, but after Chaz and company find Rune and get the Psycho Wand, she talks to Chaz one last time, saying that he must now carve out his own destiny. Her dying words were “'Ch…az…Thank…you…”. She then dies, Rika and Saya cry, then Rune and Rika give their little pep talks to Chaz. You know the story. But those last two words that Alys said I believe are what make it a great scene (though the music was great as well… I have the midi if anyone wants to hear it)

But yeah… then again, I’m a PS addict through and through, but I still find that scene a whole lot better than the FFVII one.

i…

agree with Orakio…

the ending of ffx didnt impress me because i hate every character in the game beside lulu. (the lake macalania scene was the most pathetically stupid moment i remember from any video game)

as for game deaths or moments or whatnot, i think a few scenes from suikoden games should win those.

also, i think in terms of video game TV, ill just stick to xplay, which is funny

waves hand Midi please!

Few death scenes in game work well. It’s just very hard to do with text boxes. FPS’s may have an advantage there, but it’s kinda hard to care about people in them. CAse in point, the woman from Jedi Outcast. For most of the game you think she’s dead. Do you care? No.

That should do it. I made the midi myself… it should work fine on your soundcard, but on the current one I have, the instruments sound a little different from when I had my old sound card. Oh well, I hope it works alright for you.

You assume too much about “my” sound card. On this computer, NOTHING sounds good in MIDI.

I assume nothing! << >>

It’s a xylophone. Meh.

is PH4 a Genesis game?
