Okay, i picked up FF11 today, still havnt got the computer to play it, but i was wondering who all that comes here plays it. I have seen a few people talk about it, (and they obviously have played it) but i was wandering if they could tell me a little bit about the game. Like a few things to watch out for, character creation. What kind of class system does the game have ? Just your basic “tell me more” kind of stuff to help me get on my feet once i start playing so i’m not flipping through the manual (which i am still reading) as i start.
Races:
Galka: Strongest physical attack, most HP, lowest accuracy, lowest MP
Recommended jobs: Warrior, Monk, Paladin, Samurai, Ninja, Dragoon
Elvaan: Second most HP, Second lowest MP, best Charisma, high melee damage
Recommended jobs: Warrior, Dark Knight, Paladin, Red Mage, Beastmaster, Samurai, Dragoon
Hume: Most balanced characters, excel at any job
Mithra: most accurate, highest evasion
Recommended Jobs: Thief, White Mage, Warrior, Red Mage, Dark Knight, Ranger, Samurai, Ninja
Tarutaru: Most MP, lowest HP, lowest physical attributes
Recommended Jobs: White Mage, Black Mage, Red Mage, Bard, Summoner, Beastmaster
Available Jobs at start:
Warrior
Monk
White Mage
Black Mage
Red Mage
Thief
For about your 1st 5-8 levels, you will be playing alone depending on your character(my Elvaan Warrior soloed until about 9).
At about 12-15, you will wind up in Valkurm Dunes, and at 18, the subjob quest is available(start collecting items at 16).
At about 20, start heading for Jeuno.
At 25, start searching for the keys you need to get to Kazham.
At 30, you can get advanced jobs like Paladin, Dark Knight, Ninja, etc. At 50, the AF quests can be taken.
