Unfortunately I don’t have a GameCube, one of my friends does, but he’s not into Final Fantasy games. So I’m going to have to give this game a miss. It sounds pretty cool though.

Cos I bought a Game Boy Player for Gamecube? It was less than half the price of a Game Boy Advance, and looks really awesome in full screen? I don’t know :stuck_out_tongue: That’s MY reason :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m glad somebody brought up the GBA Player. Since I’m a business major, something really bugs me. I can’t believe they did this GBA multiplayer setup AFTER they released the GBA Player for the NGC.

A buddy of mine got a GBA SP for Christmas, so he gave me his old GBA. Right now I’m replaying the Zelda Oracle games (while I save up to get some actual GBA games and Akira vol. 3), but after that, I think I might be Player 2.

With that ‘buddy’ as player 1? I also know of 3 others, one living a distance aways, and 1 not having a GBA, and the other having many GBAs (don’t ask, but they all work. I think). With them we could have a 4-player game! Just perfect. I’m hoping it’s like secret of mana all over again. Or at least a little.

Bahamut, the GBA player doesn’t help the situation at all. In fact, trying to use it for FFCC’s purposes would well, defeat the purpose :stuck_out_tongue: Since the point of the GBA PLayer is to do GBA stuff on your TV screen, that wouldn’t work for FFCC because the point is to not clutter up the TV screen wih the menus, which are on GBA. So, trying to use it with a GBA player wouldn’t work, even if it was possible :stuck_out_tongue:

damn i wanna play FFCC with my gf… but i don’t wanna buy two GBAs jus’ to use 'em as controllers. guess i’ll hafta stick with single player mode until the price for GBA goes down…

Get used GBA’s. :stuck_out_tongue:

I also have reserved FFCC.

And I suggest against not buying the game if you don’t have a GBA.
I had to read that like 5 times to figure out the triple negative in it. >_>

SG, I think you misundersand me. I’m thinking from a marketing point of view. It doesn’t make sense to me to devise a GBA multi-player setup after the release of the GBA Player. I know the setup wouldn’t work with the GBA Player, but that’s my point. Those who don’t have a regular GBA (or SP) because they have a GBA player probably won’t want to buy a GBA. I’m just saying the GBA setup is a unique idea, but I feel the GBA Player’s release will probably hinder possible sales.

Multiplayer isn’t mandatory, it’s just a nice bonus for those who have the equipment.

ES, you do know the main reason the game was made is the multi-player capability?

and i’m still not sure if he’s against buyin’ GBAs or not… i know… i’m dumb :thud:

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> You sure are.

Eh, I don’t think it’ll be a very big deal, BX :stuck_out_tongue: I bet this will be one of the ONLY games that uses such a setup (It’s the only one so far :P), and the game has the Final Fantasy name, so it’ll sell so much off of that, that it really doesn’t have to worry about the like, 200 dollars that it’ll lose from the population that got GBA players :stuck_out_tongue: Having a GBA player, even from a business standpoint, is still practical, I think.

Well, I guess I have mixed feelings too. The way think is that if I’m a die-hard FF fan that won’t get the game because of the GBA setup, I probably won’t be the only one.
