Ive got another summoner for that purpose of the summoner/calculator skills things going. but ive never heard of the 2 swords thing. ill have to try that.
I dunno, Ramza always worked out best for me in that class.
Remember the fight with Wiegraf? That everyone says is the hardest in the game?
Over in 1 attack.
Ramza: Begins charging spell.
Wiegraf: Lightning Stab.
Ramza: Holy!
Wiegraf: Blargh! I am dead! :thud:
But the simple idea is to boost his magic power as high as you can, and then give him faith. His magic becomes so ridiculously powerful that, yes, even Orlandu can’t hold a candle to him.
It was over in two attacks for me
Ramza: Jump
Wiegraf: Lightning Stab
Ramza : Dragon Heart
Ramza: Jump
Wiegraf: I have been defeated, now I must escape so I can become Velius.
I had Ramza as a Lancer at that point.
This is Ramza when I beat FFT
Class=Squire
A-Ability 1: Guts
A-Ability 2: Ninjitsu
Support: Double Sword
Reaction: Dragon Heart
Move: HP up
Last I checked, 1<2. But yeah, my basic battle has me in control from the beginning, right to the end. Never do I lose control of the battle. I can typically end it anytime I want. My final Ramza is as shown, above.
The only problem is, there’s no challenge anymore! :bowser:
Maybe if Square had added a two player head-to-head option…
Damn, I just had everyone as knights with sword&shield. Then I killed of the demons, and surrounded him. Having each player “Steal” untill I got everything. I had one character stand to the side as a healer for the group incase thier hp got too low from his occasional hits.
Easy.
You guys add alot of strategy to this thing, its funny.
((oh yeah, and wear that 99beads necklace or whatever it is to prevent his vampiric crap))
You can’t just surround him, he has teleport 2. You have to make sure he can’t use that beforehand.
I forgot what I did about that issue. I do remember that he was surrounded and I just kept stealing from him though… What did I do… crap now I want to play the game again just to figure some of the battles out… again.
You guys add alot of strategy to this thing, its funny.
Strategy is the key to fun. What fun is it to make Knights that slash their swords? It’s more fun to have ninjas that use magic, or ultra-fast calculators, or knights that use guns, etc.
Exploring the possiblities is what made the game fun, for me, anyway.
