EvOl Game soundtrack.

Don’t ask me why, but I’m trying to burn a CD featuring only the bad guys’ themes from just about any game. This is what I’ve got so far:
[ul]
[li]Dancing with Death (Magus, Chrono Trigger) – Yes I know he’s not really the main villain, but it’s close enough.
[/li][li]Liberi Fatali (FF VIII) – It’s actually the opening, but it kicks in every time something involving Ultimecia happens.
[/li][li]One Winged Angel (Sephiroth, FFVII)
[/li][li]Dark Messenger (Kuja, FF IX)
[/li][li]Dragon God (Dragon God, Chrono Cross)
[/li][li]Grahf, Emperor of Darkness (Grahf, Xenogears) – “The One Who is Torn Apart” is too repetitive, so this was the other obvious choice for that game.
[/li][/ul]

I’ve got about sixty-something minutes to fill in, so start giving suggestions.

Try finding Kefka’s Theme, or even Exdeath’s theme.

‘City of Flickering Destruction’ from Legend of Mana. It’s played at the end of the Jumi storyline.

Seymour’s from FFX, his final form.

Any Dracula Theme from Castlevania.

Sigma?

Seigfried’s theme from Wild ARMs 3. It’s called “Blue Destiny”.

Challenge from the FFX soundtrack. It’s Yunalesca’s battle music, and also plays once or twice when you fight Seymour (this may be what NB is talking about, but I’m not sure). Also download Seymour’s Boss Battle Music (dunno the name of it) that plays the first time you fight him. I could send both to you. You can also get the music from the sanctuary bosses in Earthbound…I have lots.

I think Sigma’s music is best in X3, personally.

No need Eva, I know a site with the full soundtracks of almost all FFs. Thanks for the suggestions, keep’em coming.

Try Ghaleon’s theme from Lunar 2, or one of the Zophar related songs. Maybe look into one of the songs that plays in the Lucavi fights in FFT. Eve’s aria from Parasite Eve isn’t bad either.

Also try the Fou Lu related songs from BoF4 and Myria’s theme from BoF3

I bet your source is the same as my source. Also, get JENOVA, and the Turk’s theme. Get People Seized With Life for Chrono Cross, cuz hey, you fight two bosses to that music even though it makes you cry. And Chronopolis. It’s only a theme, but it’s bad ass enough to give off that evil, sinister vibe.

Oh oh, I have a good boss them from Valkyrie Profile, but the place I got it from didnt name the tracks, so I cant tell you what it’s called :frowning: And it’s so cool.

And though it isn’t a game, I must suggest that you try a few songs from the hellsing soundtrack.

Lavos from Chrono Trigger also had some cool music, why don’t you try that?

Blue Laguna?

I’ll pass Chronopolis, but people JENOVA, the Turk’s and People Seized with Life are in (Which is the second boss? I only remember Miguel.)

I’ll have to take a look at most of what everybody else suggested.

Dario, I believe.

No I go to zophar.

SaGa Frontier OST - Disc 2, Track 18, “With Orlouge”
SaGa Frontier OST - Disc 2, Track 22, “Battle 5”
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter OST - Disc 2, Track 10, “Calling From A Distance”
Rockman Zero 2 Remastered Tracks ‘Idea’ - Disc 2, Track 5, “Combustion”
Rockman X7 OST - Track 18, “Our Blood Boils ~ Sigma 1st”
Rockman X Command Mission OST - Track 39, “Executive Battle”
Bahamut Lagoon OST - Disc 1, Track 6, “Sauzer”
Super Mario RPG OST - Disc 2, Track 12, “Margarie Margarita”
Romancing SaGa 3 OSV - Disc 3, Track 1, “The Devil King’s Castle”
Live A Live OST - Track 35, “Demon King Odio”

You could all just name GOOD suggestions you know, not the first shit that comes to mind. It really depends if you want themes or battle musics also. I mostly named themes, nothing like SG’s battle pick. If so I’d say stuff like Darkness Nova from Legend of Mana always works. So what do you want?

Theme of the Cult - SW KotoR

Albedo - Xenosaga

Mitos - Tales of Symphonia (the battle version is interesting but I hate how sakuraba fucks shit up like he does)

Tethe’Alla Castle - Tales of Symphonia

Derris Kharlan ~ Shrine (or fear)- Tales of Symphonia (not a particular villain’s theme per se…)

Theme of the Black Knight - Tactics Ogre

Last of Rosencrantz - Vagrant Story ( less dissonant versions are also available as Rosencrantz and Another Riskbreaker)

Lunar 1(Lunatic Festa remix) - Sorceress

Holy Angela’s Theme - FF Tactics (pick your remix, there are a few on the soundtrack , 2 battle, 2 not)

Those Chosen by the Planet - FF7

Fears for Tears - La Pucelle (its not a character theme, but I really like Crazy Pianist, its even remixed on the La Pucelle Arrange soundtrack).

Booster Tarantino - Booster’s song remixed by djpretzel at OCRemix. He’s kind of a villain.

Btw, the Seymour track you people refer to is called Challenge. And if you look for the lunatic festa lunar remix, the lunatic parade remix has a lunar 2 Zophar battle that’s neat. Am I like the only person to NOT like really high pitch techno like Jenova and that godawful Man with the Machine Gun?

I will admit to liking Go Go Go from Lunar (Ghaleon’s final battle theme). And Gothic Neclord is pretty sweet, (there has been a remixed for it on one of the Suikoden remix CDs, this one is on the Swordsman from Harmonia compilation). You might also want to check out the Magus theme that was remixed by KFSS.

I’ll give another suggestion. “Evil Desires” from the Legaia: Duel Saga OST. It’s very low-pitched and creepy, not unlike the villian themes from Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics.

The Sinistrals battle music from Lufia 2
Shadow Hearts 2 has some very good boss music so why not try it.

SSH has a good remix of the sinistral theme with the boss theme if you’re interested. He also has a Wily theme from MM2 and a remix of Fighting with the Spirits, which is played in Tales of Symphonia (amongst other games) when you fight certain pseudo-villains. And where is CV SotN’s Dance of Illusion in all this? Its a must.

Hey! Four of my songs are fight songs :stuck_out_tongue: Just cos it’s a battle with Sigma doesn’t mean it’s not a battle theme :stuck_out_tongue: Besides, he said he wanted villanous themes, so I tried to choose only battle themes that could be strongly linked to particular villains. All the battle themes I chose were very specific for when they played.
