Everybody needs to use Protection...

Sometimes, after a fresh install, you think to yourself “I dont go anywhere that i can get a virus from” …and then you end up like me, Scanning the C drive, and finding ~1.5K of the little buggers…

What did I do to get this? LAN with some friends

guess not. The same thing happened to me a while ago, had to reboot. Then when we got a cable modem, it happened again. Dont forget about the firewall people.

Rud: That’s why I use an OS that doesn’t actually suck.

As long as I’m smart enough not to open my mails as root my system won’t get fucked. And I NEVER open my mails as root.

I don’t know I’ve only gotten one kind of virus on my computer before and my scanner can neither fix it, or delete it, so it just sits there until I copy everything else into another folder and delete the folder that the virus is in.

Once I had a virus in my computer for months, then I finally bought a virus cleaner. I’ve been virus free since then.

Already have one. That was one of the very first things my dad made sure we had when we got our computer. He checks it every now and then.

Whenever my OS fucks up from now on, I’ll just groan, pull my disk out of the box, run Ghost, slap the image back on, done.
