Even The Avengers are 'downsizing'

As in, replaced by mini-versions:

I must admit I’m baffled. The idea of a DTV about the Avengers’ children is not that unexpected, it brings in the kid audience- but the whole thing is set in a dark future where THE AVENGERS ARE DEAD! Not exactly Tiny Toons, is it?

Still, I have to admit the characters are cute. I especially liked Thor’s daughter. “For ASGAAARD!!!” :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll check it out (when it comes out in September) and let you know what I think.

Eh … I haven’t seen the original, but … well, just as long as an Avengers version of “MY PARENTS ARE DEAD” doesn’t become apt …

I’d much rather read the actual Young Avengers series. Them’s good stuffs.
Or Runaways. There’s what they need to do: A TV version of Runaways.

Or “Avengers Next” which WAS an actual comic about the (possible) future children of the Avengers, and which I THOUGHT this DTV was about (as I’m sure other people did.) But the characters here are different, younger, and the setting is much darker. Honestly, I don’t get what Marvel’s idea here was.

Oh, and a Runaways movie IS in the works.

Thank you for this joyful information my good sir!
