1. Emo sucks.

 2. Emo is a bastard genre.

 3. Emo is the epitome of the bastard genre.

 4. Dashboard Confessional sucks.

 5. The Pixies are the greatest band in the history of bands.

 6. How dare you compare crap like Dashboard to Pixies?

 7. Pop punk shows suck. I’ve been to a million and a half. They are horrible.

 8. Notable exception to # 7: the Buzzcocks.

 9. Crying in the middle of a song is in no way pathetic.

 10. Bright Eyes is amazing, as are the Desaparecidoes.

 11. Conor Oberst is god.

 12. Conor Oberst is a sad drunk, leave the man alone.

 13. I hate you.

That was fucking sexy Sil, omg!

And your avatar just scoots it right along too.

thanks

I like dashboard. They somehow remind me of the Pixies.

Speaking of Ska. Anyone know who sings the song “Super Orgy Porno Party”? Personally though I don’t liek Less than Jake, I like Suicide Machines or Planet Smashers.

I also hate people who hate Emo :fungah:

Planetsmashers. “You guys order a pizza? WELL SOMEONES GOTTA EAT IT!”

I saw them live btw ^^

Planet Smashers still exist? :stuck_out_tongue: I saw them in concert when I was 17. :stuck_out_tongue: I really like ska, but I haven’t been to a show of the genre in years. And of course, before reading this thread, I had no idea what “emo” meant. :stuck_out_tongue:

mmhmm, i saw them in May

Planet Smashers play the theme song on that shwo the O.C. I think. That got me watching the show its pretty good.

Guess Dashboard doesn’t have many fans around here. Oh well. Sorry folks, I love it, although his first CD is better than the rest of the new stuff you hear on the radio. I like acoustic songs.

As for Emo, Emo is a very general term that seems to be stuck to various bands at will. Somtimes it’s a subsidiary of punk, sometimes it’s more alternative and acoustic. Who knows.

And with all this talk of Emo, no one mentioned anything about Christie Front Drive, who were the fathers of all the crap you hear on the radio today, except they were good. Broke up in '96, don’t bother looking for them in the new releases section.

i hate emolitism.
