But seriously, THIS is a good game. While it becomes insanely easy with items and powered-up characters, some stages are hard enough to warrant new interest in the series (Guan Yu’s Escape, for example, when you’re Xiahou Dun, is a bitch, no, really, it’s a bitch), the new characters are pretty damn fun to play as (I’ve tried out Xing Cai and Ling Tong up to now, and while Xing Cai = too cute for words, Ling Tong’s a pretty fun character to play as with the nunchuck and all).

The integration of the bases as in Empires is well-ajusted and fully done.

THERE IS NO LAG! I even tried my best to make te game lag as fuck and it didn’t lag! It was crazy I tells ya! Crazy!

The new lighting effects for the strategists/spellcasters are much prettier this time around.

My opinion : If you’re a fan of the series but never bothered to purchase any DW, buy this one. It’s going to rule your life. If you’re not because you don’t know the series, well, rent it first then see how you like it.

It does lag if you play 2-players.

All I’ve played of it is a bit of two-player with my cousin, but it IS loads of fun.

Little tip? Having a bodyguard that can heal you helps loads.

Also, for some insane reason, me and my cousin always refer to mosou (in any context) as “mushu”. Yes, we’re strange.

It’s pretty fun, although I’ve only played through with Sun Shang Xiang so far.

Is there any way to manipulate the camera? Nearly all the damage I take is by something that’s hanging just off the edge of the screen that I can’t see.

That’s how me and my sis pronounce it too. In fact, we call the whole entire series mushu instead of Dynasty Warriors.

I still haven’t unlocked all 11th weapons in number 4. And I won’t bother.

Is Cao Pi playable this time? He always had a major role, but was never playable. Also, have any characters been dropped from DW4?

Cao Pi is playable and none of the previous characters were dropped. In addition to the old lineup, Xing Cai, Guan Ping, Zuo Ci, Ling Tong and Pang De are now playable.

And I hadn’t played 2P, good that you can tell me it actually lags in 2P, so I know. However, 1P lag is gone, which is damn great.

When I get a PS2 again, this will be the first game I get. Dynasty Warriors is the shit.

And it’s good to hear that 1p lag is gone now.
