SHHHHHH!
Yeah, considering the rest of the games… :hahaha;
Hey! The 2D Duke Nukem games were good. Especially the first.
The game is not as delayed as it may seem.
Didn’t see a date on that page so couldn’t tell you if they’re still bothering with the game but still, priceless.
edit: 28th July 2004. I need to stop browsing the web with my eyes closed. :-/
As stated by several 3D Realms employees numerous times, quality games simply take time. What has been taking the most time is all of the optimizations and additions 3D Realms has been making. In the words of George Broussard, “The fact is that we’re not massively delayed. Going to Unreal did set us back, but mainly because we refused to be a TC and not advance tech. We added LOD, skeletal animation, motion capture, and tons of other little enhancements to the Unreal engine to make it more interactive. That all takes time.”
This is not only insane, ridiculous and lacking any sense of “how long is too long”, but it also resembles the words of that certain long-haired young man we all know.
Once again: DAIKATANA!
John Romero is a Daikatana. An overhyped, incredibly boring, bastard.
I’ve appended the list with some new (and not-so-new) releases and factoids. Let’s welcome the Nintendo DS and PSTwo, everyone!
I also re-calculated Voyager 1’s miles-per-year and came up with much better number. Check it out. Turns out me and the guys were off by .8 billion miles.
