Has anyone played this game besides me and UZ? It kicks some major poke-ohs ass (poke-ohs+yu-gi-mans=pokemon and yu-gi-oh)
I have it. I enjoyed it immensely, but it doesn’t have the same charm that pokemon has. I ecspecially liked the monsters and the breeding system of DWM.
No, I’ve certainly never played that. What is this… Dragon… Warrior?
My favorite game of all time. Ever. Really.
I guess you should disregard the text immediately to the left of that that says that your favorite RPG is Final Fantasy 1…
Anyway, all sarcasm aside, I agree that the DWM series far outweighs the Pokémon series. I wish the third one (Caravan Heart) had come out stateside, though I did import the PSX version of Dragon Quest Monsters I & II.
It has a different charm than pokemon, but there is no straight comparison between them of which one is better or worse. More hardcore RPGers will probably like DWM more than pokemon because you are using a party of monsters that can be either fighters or mages or clerics, whatever. Pokemon has a single one-on-one style with less variety. DWM also has a large system revolving around leveling upand breeding and such, which people newer to uch games might find tedious and boring, while in Pokemon games, I always believe they’re sort of beginners rpgs where you rarely have to level and can just enjoy the game. Overall though, I pick pokemon as a winner if it did come to a comparison, since it is easy to play through (I never did finish DWM as much as i like it) and has a slightly better plot, if only slightly. Both hve certain quest and dungeon elements, yet pokemon does again seem to have a little bit more. But really, it does come down to what you prefer. DWM is a pretty good game.
Pokémon has a plot?
Whats up with your signature man? That’s weird.
I like it. It’s good for people who like to level.
I’ve never played it. I probably will though.
What the fuck is that?!
The person in your Avator is Sawachika Eri, from the anime School Rumble.
Oh, and yes, DWM rules.
like ff6 you fight eniemies that have spells in kefka’s tower those yellow or gold dragon i dont know they have a spell that makes your life go to 1 :bowser:
Oh that has to be one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard. I’m so close to sigging that. But seriously, just about every game has harder enemies the further you progress. I wouldn’t mark that down as a unique trait. And pokemon does have a very slight plot hidden somewhere in between the capturing and battling, just as DWM. I just think the pokemon plot is a bit better.
I like it because it isn’t wide spread that everyone knows about 'cause pokeohs got boring after everybody in the world was playing it. I like quaint stuff movie-wise: ultimate chaos (classic movie) music-wise: King Missile & Elvis Costello
I’m quite fond of the DWM series, myself.
I really only like the original and I like Dragon Warriors III for GBC (if that’s what it’s called, I had to sell it cause whenever the cartridge was touched, it froze.)
I own Dragon Warrior Monsters. I should really play it some time…
if they could have made the little monsters that follow you look better, that would kick ass. And throw a few more dungeon-type-things in.
The plot of pokemon is a fortunate side effect of the storyline. The games aren’t half bad, just really really teared towards kids.
