It’s 17 minimum to donate, no parental consent needed. At least in PA.
I’ve given about 10 pints lifetime so far (didn’t donate much until I was 19 because I ran track/XC year-round in HS and it would have cut into training). Last weekend I went to give and for the first time ever my hemacrit was too low. Apparently I’m not eating enough meat (and iron-fortified breakfast cereals).
B+, it’s not just a blood-type, it’s an attitude.

But I’m not sure about this theory, because it would mean I have the same essential personality as most Americans
