If people can split atoms to create explosions the size of small countries, if quartz did anything special, it would be well advertised and integrated into all parts of society.
Actually, I don’t think they conduct electricity. They’re used in quartz watches because the electricity causes them to vibrate at a steady rate, allowing the watch to accurately tell time. And in lasers, crystals are used because they’re multi faceted transparent objects and can focus the beam.
And no, I don’t believe they have any powers. They’re just a group of condensed minerals, possibly in interesting formations

(unless it’s one of those “I believe it so it must be true” psychology thingamabobs, which would actually be the most logical explanation)

Because when they actually get better or something good happens, they’ll automatically attribute it to the crystals and not any natural processes.
I think the main point behind these sort of things is the fact that if someone believes it works, it’ll make them feel better becasue they believe it’s doing something. Whether or not it’ll do something doesn’t really matter.

And yes, Quartz (and crystals in general) do conduct electrocity very well.
If you think it works, then it’s all right. If you get them for another reason other than healing properties, that’s even better.
