ama just say the usual crap that practically everyones saying…ahem…yeah i think Case closed is pretty good, it may be old , but its a HELL of alot better than that Scooby Doo shit. :noway: am i right? lol
If your wondering, it came out in 1997 for you guys. In one of the episodes, actually two that I’ve seen, whether it be in a newspaper, or said out loud, the date is brought up. Now, it may be true that they may have just chosen a future date, but I’m just rollng off of assumptions.
Case Closed is one of my favorite shows, mainly because it’s quite arguably the only real intelligent “new” show on Adult Swim. Cowboy Bebop may have been argued but who HASN’T seen Cowboy Bebop that watches Adult Swim usually? Think about it. Inuyasha has lately been getting on my nerves, mainly because the new episodes are only shown on Saturadays and I keep missing it and Wolf’s Rain. sigh Like I’m not meant to see them or something.
On a side note, Kagato, you are one funny dude.
Other than that, I like how they switch from the murders to a somewhat happy adventure deal with the kids sometimes; it’s a nice interlude, although that one with the creepy house and all was actually depressing, the one with the treasure map actually reminded me a lot of the Goonies to tell you the truth. Oh, and anyone besides me notice that, really, the only reason why they have a Part 2 episode usually is just to draw it out? Part 2’s are almost always from what I’ve seen, a gathering of all the clues in Part 1, the usual it-couldn’t-have-been-me-I-was-sleeping/making out/with you guys/not capable of being an axe murderer!, and the subsequent destruction of their alibi. Speaking of the axe murderer one, anyone seen that one? They literally showed a head cut clean off the body. That’s when I really started realizing that this wasn’t exactly a kid’s show despite the kiddy interludes.
Kagato, for number 5, I guess your right, but I distinctly him stumbling upon the bodies a few times, or running towards them. Your still right of course, he’s got the mental capacity to handle it since he’s older than he seems, but I don’t really see how they’d know that, 'cept when they started realizing Conan was they’re lucky charm and didn’t really care…Rachel’s dad at least.
Oh, and Conan does lament over his inability to find any clues about the men in black who drugged him. Not often after first couple of episodes, but sometimes. Just a few nights ago there was an episode where he talked about it. Then again, I remember a few times he was put in spots where he wouldn’t mind. Heh heh…
I’m really sorry,
But who is Kagato?
It came out in 1997?
But how come they are showing the first few episodes on Cartoon Network?
Smile
Kagato Toujou is the 10th poster of this thread. Cartoon network is showing it cause it can and maybe they thought it was a good show that people would be interested in watching. Also the translation of Case closed could have taken a while. Trigun came out in 1998 and cartoon network still shows that. Lupin the 3rd seems like it came out in the 60s or 70s too.
Actually, is this anime based on Conan Doyle’s writings and is Detective Conan perhaps named after this Brit?
The premise of Case closed/Detective Conan is Jimmy Kudo is a brilliant high school detective and decent soccer player, but one night he witnesses something in which of course the criminals don’t want Jimmy telling anyone about. The criminals then give Jimmy some poison, the poison doesn’t kill him it only make him younger maybe to about age 6 to 10? Jimmy goes by the name Conan Edogawa(spelling?) and then goes to his girlfriend’s house to live. So Jimmy is now solving mysteries as a kid and trying to find out who drugged him. Edogawa supposedly is the name of another mystery writer. Some of the cases might be like Conan Arthur Doyle’s writings, though wouldn’t know since I haven’t read any. I also missed the first six or so episodes of Case Closed, so my details could be off.
Well, I think the closest age is 7; he’s in first grade.
Your spelling is correct: Edogawa Conan.
I think the first part (Edogawa) is some Japanese mystery writer
and the second part (Conan) is from Doyle’s first name.
Is there any hope that we can request CN to change the time shedule for Case Closed
to probably earlier (11, 12 o’ clock)?
It was on at 12 or so, but only after a month at that time slot cartoon network pushed it back to show old inuyasha reruns and sealab 2021. I think people there lack common sense, so good luck wishing that they return it back to the earlier time.
They probably do lack common sense or they just don’t like Case Closed >_<
I just went to CN.com and saw the time schedule.
Everyone…
DON’T MISS LATE TONIGHT’S (or tomorrow morning’s), Aug 5, Case Closed!!!
Conan Is Kidnapped
This is one of the important episodes!
Hope you like this pic.
Watched it a few times, its pretty good, Mostly I’m asleep by than… I hate work… :thud: :boring:
I like it, I’ve watched it pretty much everytime it was on since I’ve been up late playing WarCraft 3 with some of my friends anyway. I’ve only figured one of them out before and that was the 2 episode long one about the murders on the ship…
I would really encourage everyone to watch Case Closed.
Although it’s true that right now every episode looks separate from each other.
Later on, you will find that the episodes do “link” together.
Some characters come back, new characters are added, the plot builds up, more clues and information on the black guys (Gin and Vodca), new bad guys, etc.
The plot is reall great, and I love it!!!
that comes on on techtv
you thickhead
What the hell are you talking about? Case Closed is on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network).
Thanks Epic! You were very nice! =)
Well, Adult Swim must have run out of episodes.
The first season’s over. Now to see if CN orders any more, and if the show ever ends in Japan (it’s now over 400 episodes long).
Just when it was getting good too…it’s back to the second episode.
That’s good for me. I missed the first episodes entirely ^^
