We’ve just received a notice (in Italian) from the Associazione Software Libero stating that the software patent vote in the European Parliament has been pushed back to the second session, starting September 22 in Strasbourg. This delay is seen as a success for those who are working against the adoption of software patents in Europe; clearly the efforts on that front have gotten some attention.

Wooh! Looks like those demonstrations yesterday actually did help some. :yipee:

Just hope now that it’ll get voted down. I’d hate for all of Europe to have to suffer under this thing.

There is a vast difference between democracy and mobocracy, learn that.

I hope it doesn’t pass, and if it does, that Norway uses it’s veto for the first time.
