I saw it yesterday with my friend. Apparently I was the loudest person in the theatre when I laughed! Anyways I thought it was a good movie and worth the ticket price. I wasn’t really expecting it to be the best movie in the world, but it was good. There were a lot of moments that you expected to happen, and you can definately tell Kevin Smith has a lot of money and didn’t feel like venturing out too far, IE it was mostly a typical love story with a happy ending. There were some moments where I thought “man, how is that even in the movie, that’s ridiculous!!!”, and most of the time it still seemed like Clerks. There was several pointless nerd conversations and lots of funny antics by Jay and Silent Bob. Not to mention there is KING DIAMOND MUSIC IN IT!!! YEAH!
I recommend it if you’re a fan of the other movies. You’ll still get a good laugh if you haven’t seen the others but you might feel out of the loop.
I thought it was a perfect sequel to Clerks. Just as funny as, if not more than, it’s predecessor. The scene where dante and his fiance leave the restaurant and jay is doing the buffalo bill scene, including tuckback was by far my favorite part next to the donkey scene. Both were incredibly hilarious, although the latter had some easily forseeable comedic points.
On the whole, I think rosario dawson actually fit in well with the rest of the cast, and was able to act well enough to, as Kevin Smith said in the credits “make me believe that becky would actually fuck dante”
I enjoyed it and it was worth the $6.50 I spent on it
So im guessing this movie really good, I have seen Jay and Silent Bob strike back, it was good. But this Clerks II movie looks pretty dam funny. I guess I have to see it. The previews are good enough for me to watch the movie.
HAHA! police arrive “Shit, not again… gotta finish…!”
Hey, did you find it really weird in that scene when Elias talks about his girlfriend? You know, the whole troll thing. What the hell was up with that music!!! It made it sound so evil, and Randall was so scared! hahah.
I’ve been waiting to use my free ticket to see this, and it’s killing me! I’m avoiding the spoilers out of principle, but man… my curiousity about Pillow Pants and the Star Wars/LotR “debate” is going to be the death of me at this rate.
No, if I go for this one it’ll probably be with just one of my friends… Ladies’ Night this month is going to be Redneck Bowling. (not my idea though, believe it or not…)
I never liked Kevin Smith movies, and I don’t like comedies in general, and I definitely don’t like crude sexual humor, so I won’t be seeing this movie.
