Centering stuff

Okay, so a while ago Xelo and TD showed me the html for centering stuff.

table align=“center” (but in the carrot brackets)

Trouble is, when I try to employ it in my sig, it centers completely. I.e. there’s a bunch of unsightly blank space above the text entered in the centered table, rather than it appearing right under that little white line.

So, what I wanna do, is keep the text centered as far as left/right is concerned, but up at the top, so my sig isn’t all big and unwieldly with empty space.

Help?

Thanks in advance for the irreverent mocking replies, especially the ones more imaginative than “you idiot”. Oh, and the actual helpful tips that sneak through all that and end up helping me out.

you could try div align=“center”

Just post the text you want fixed and I’ll toy with it.
