Well, I got convinced by some friends to give it a second shot since I only played off 2 hours in alpha wich didn’t impress me. well since Alpha there have been vast improvements and the game is simply awesome, with smatterings of annoyance. The community outside the game is my main peeve as most of you can see from Ramza and Izlude, just the rampant fanboyism irritates me to no end. Friend of mine IRL won’t shut up about Illidan’s moon blades and infernal pets in the game. The in game community isn’t too bad I’ve met a lot of nice people and if a chat bugs me it’s easy to just turn that channel off. The gameplay can get really boring if you don’t distract yourself with quests or a friend to chat with. Battling isn’t hard and is better than point and click and I really like how different classes have different magic bars. Rather than everyone having MP, some people build up rage to use skills, some use energy, some have mp. It’s fairly easy to make money, though it’s hard to keep it. I don’t like the 2 profession limit, but I can see why it’s there. I’m having a lot of fun with the game though my fingers are tired of WASD. I’m on Central server 5 with a 19 night elf rogue named Tahlae if anyone is intrested in saying hey.
Part of me wants to rejoice… ^_~
Just a reminder, at no time what so ever in this game will or should you EVER have to be mob grinding for exp. (Unless of course, the quest tells you to kill so many such and such)
The point of WoW’s quest system was so that there would be MORE than enough for you to always be doing instead of having to grind mobs for 5+ hours just to fathom a level like in FFXI. If that is boring I dont know what to say. Plus, the quests are all progressive in thier own little stories that keep you moving across the world so there are countless “plot lines” you could find yourself taking part in.

Secondly, you said “This is going to be my last WoW thread” in two of your other WoW fanatic threads. Thirdly, if you don’t want people to get annoyed at you, then don’t shove your opinions in their faces. If I said I wasn’t going to play WoW because it probably won’t feel much different than other MMOs (which I’m not), you’d most likely go into a long, boring rant about how wonderful Blizzard and WoW are. Learn to respect other peoples’ opinions before you accuse them of being the ones at fault.
EDIT: In your post, maybe FRAME thinks the quest system is boring but you don’t. That’s a perfect example of what I’m saying.
Then we have two options, one - we ask him what he meant… or two, we assume.
I’ll assume for a moment that you did not read his and my post clearly.
He stated that the gameplay was boring UNLESS he was occupying himself with a quest.
My response to that was, if you WERENT doing a quest that is WHY you were bored. The game is set up so you’ll always have somthing to do.
So, I think MY statement was not only reasonable but not “opinion” based at all, seeing as how “The game is set up so you’ll always have somthing to do.” is a statement from Blizzard themselves.

That doesn’t matter, you don’t have to make a paragraph every time someone contradicts your WoW philosophy. Once again, some may believe WoW always has something to do, others may not (or they may find the things to do boring). It really, really does NOT matter that much.

Omega, please just go away? I dont feel like arguing over this as there is nothing left to argue about, were going to talk in this thread so just dont visit it ok? No, dont answer to this PLEASE, you are just bringing down the general aura of pleasure that those of us who WANT to talk about WoW on here are having.
Anyway, back to the discussion at hand.
I’ve been thinking more and more about this character transfer thing, if they actually let us transfer our characters to the retail then I’m one happy mofo… If not, I’m going to a PVP server, when I found out that we had to put FLAGS on to attack members of the Horde, I was pissed, cause that meant a bunch of pussy ogres, undead, tauren, or trolls could just keep thier flags off and we wouldnt be able to do anything to them… Bah, a group of 15 level 20 night elves going into horde territory was SO cool… then we couldnt do anythign to them cause they hid there with thier flags off… how lame.
PVP > RP (and normal) servers
That post was written at 7 AM after doing about 10 quests. Any way, the quests are a good thing and I like them, I wish there were more high exp quests where you don’t have to kill X monsters, like leading a person or making deliveries. I’m trying to catch up to a really good friend who is 24 and grinding is the safest way usually since quest exp tends to be a gamble for big exp. Spending 15 minutes for 300 exp is nice, but I could have made 3 kills in 2 minutes for the same amount. So while there are the big 1500 exp quests and stuff I find it hard to geuss wich ones will award it so I can level faster.
Almost every quest I do now give around 2000 exp Frame. :3 They start speeding up What city are you in, Frame?

I’m at level 19 and the quests I’m doing are rewarding about 1500 MINIMUM for little dinky tasks like “get 6 of this item from such and such mob”.
And its funny that you mention escort quests and delivery quests cause the game has lots of those too…
Also, I’ve been traveling around the three areas that suit my level among the aliance: Darkshore, Westfall, and Loch Modan. Between those three places, there are MORE than enough quests that are easy to solo and can give me at least 3 more levels before i need to move to somewhere harder.
I’ve just found that grinding mobs makes the game more like FFXI and less fun. Plus, the quests give plot bits which waters my tastebuds of joy!
