Can a blown fuse affect a PS2's ability to play games properly?

I was playing Legend of Dragoon on my PS2, and then the fuse blew. It’s unable to play that game anymore. It loads up to the PSone logo, then makes a clicking noise.

What can I do to play it?

It is possible your PS2’s dead, yes.

It can play every other game I have, just not LoD.

Try cleaning your disc. The PS2 could have scratched it.

Most likely the disk got scratched when the spinner suddenly stopped working. However, a blown fuse is merely a cutout of electricity. It’s the same thing as unplugging your playstation or using the rear power switch.

It seems pretty good condition.

How in the hell do you expect that picture to help?

It shows you the condition of the disc.

Ya, with a big dot of light on the disc so ya cant really see it. You should probably get one of those game doctors, those work pretty good, my dad one, and it rocks.

So you actually expect US to spot scratches on a tiny picture which you failed to see on the actual product?

Either you’re stupid, blind, lazy, or all three.

Are you sure it was a fuse that blew? Most houses now have circut breakers that prevent fuses from blowing.

As soon as I seen this thread, it made me think of <a href=“http://www.ertertwert.com/images/The%20Internet.gif”>this</a>.

Setz, it does play the rest of your PSX games, correct?

I saw no scratches. Just showing you guys there were no scratches. >=/

Cro, it plays all other PSX games. Right after I took LoD out, I played RE1.

Hmm. Maybe trade it in for another copy of it and see if it works?

I can’t find any good-condition copies of LoD anywhere anymore. I got it when it like came out.

Try unplugging and plugging all of the system’s cables then trying the game? I had a friend who had to do that once.

I cannot imagine how the hell that would fix my problem, but I will try it. =/
