Bugatti Veyron

I haven’t seen a vehicle this over-the-top since the Tomahawk, but I have a question.

What’s the point? Who drives these things, and on what roads?

Plus a few things I’ve been wondering for a LONG time.

Why do people lust for cars they’ll never use at even close to their potential, and what makes one car more beautiful than another? I hear people talk about how such and such a car is gorgeous, but when I look at cars I just don’t see it. Obviously the state of the car’s appearance is a reflection of the care put into the entire car, but I don’t understand why people will say the design of a Mercedes is more beautiful than the design of a Ford.

It’s a class thing. If you drive a Mercedes over a Ford you get the comfort of a luxury car, and get to show people that you’ve made it.

Hades, how can you say one girl is more attractive than the next?

What do you think, one car looks more appealing than another. A 20 year old hot chick person vs a 90 year old fugly wrinkley has a turkey chinskinhangerthing lady. This car vs a geometro.

(Is it the inside that counts?)

Two Words: Conspicuous Consumption.

BMW > Mercedes. Mercedes sucks.

In any case, the point of cars like these specifically is that it is a display of the power of modern engineering expertise and what it does is impressive. There are places that you can enjoy its potential and if you’re a car fan with the money to spend it on, you know where.
