Phew, you began to worry me about that.
I’ve been reading plays written by Eugène Ionesco, to be more specific, “Rhinoceros”. It’s a really interesting play. I’m going to re-read it because I don’t quite get it… I suppose that’s a good sign.
So it goes.
Stop reading Slaughterhousefive. >:(
So, you can buy that the entire earth’s water supply gets frozen, but you can’t buy that it didn’t instantly kill everyone?
It only freezes stuff it contacts. Besides, everyone dies after that anyway. Thats the point. Human advancement will inevitably destroy the world.
Are you talking about the series by David Eddings? If so, I agree. They are most excellent. His books about Sparhawk (can’t remember the name of the series, but it begins with The Diamond Throne) are also interesting, though I enjoyed the Belgarad better.
I am waiting for the latest instalment of the Wheel of Time, too. Hopefully now that all his various plot lines are all on the same day, he can really advance the story. His last book was not one of my favorites, but he did need to have all his subplots catch up to Rand’s.
I was joking, considering I claim I didn’t like Cat’s Cradle because it’s non-realistic, but it’s probably more realistic than Slaughtehouse-Five, or Breakfast of Champions.
Oh…
Sarcasm, a little hard to pick up in text.
Did you read Sirens of Titan? That is such a powerful book. It starts out just like any other book, then WHAM! It turns into something completely different. Makes you think of Martians in a whole different way.
I rock in the sense that no one catches my sarcasm.
The only Vonnegut novels I’ve read are Slaughterhouse-Five, Cat’s Cradle, and Breakfast of Champions. I’m not really a book person; but I’ll look into that titan novel.
Believe me, you won’t regret it.
Best. Vonnegut. Ever.
I love how this site actually has decent conversations that are pretty much mature compare to other sites. XD
The most recent book I have read was “How to be a Villain” by Neil Zawacki. A really humorus book. If I was to have a bad guy name it would be Misstress Black Heart. >.>
