The native games only cost between 15-35€, and if you grow tired of those, it’s even possible to get an emulator and run NES/SNES/Master system ROMs on it! As if that weren’t enough you can play MP3s and Div-X as well. Only drawback is that it’s twice as expensive as GBA…
If the price gets lowered, the GBA might be screwed. Seeing as how I’ll be able to play MG, MG2, DBZ, DBZ2, DBZ 3, and FF roms, I’d probably play it more and end up having my GBA in a corner collecting dust.
No way dude. The GBA can play GBA games! That says a lot.
And just take a look at this console. ITS PAINFULLY UGLY! Its gonna be one huge flop, because of copyrights and all.
There’s no way you could play a majority of SNES roms on that, it’s missing two buttons, and I guess you could set select to be the c button for the Genesis but that’d be annoying.
Merl: No, it cannot be sued, since that’d be like suing IBM for creating the PC. It’s 3rd-party developed emulators, the company itself only provides the hardware. Can you sue Sony because someone created a Snes emulator to the Playstation? Don’t think so.
And the Snes problem can be worked around… If one button is pressed the other buttons respond in a different way than if it isn’t pressed. A little bit awkward, perhaps, but meh.

This has already been tried (I don’t remember when and how). It’s such a brain frying experience that I remember one of the testers said his nerves had tied themselves into a know.
I don’t see how this system could be made illegal just because it is able to run ROMs. Computers can run ROMs too, because people write programs for them that emulate other systems. A console is a computer, too. As long as the emulation isn’t built-in, I see no problems with copyright here.
Even if the emulation is built-in, that wouldn’t stop this console if it’s on the East Asian market. Copyright means nothing there, apparently. Ever hear of the Game Axe? Super 8 converter?
Right now, Nintendo dominates the console industry, but if the price gets lowered, this thing may surpass GBA. GBA is still our family friendly GBA, though.

<img src=“http://www.rpgclassics.com/staff/tenchimaru/td.gif”> That’s true, but it’ll mean it can only go around there, since when it enters copyright countries, it’ll get axed so fast it’ll barely have time to shit it’s pants.
