I only meant that The Beatles, as they were, are dead now! Hehehe… we all know John, and Ringo are alive and well. And as for George… he was a sweet one.

Also, I would argue that the Beatles are one of the few groups that hardly ever have filler on their albums, so they’re not a group that has one or two hits and the rest of the songs are crap. You can take any given Beatles album, and for most of them, over half of the songs are still heavily played on radios today, and most of the others are played too, just not as often. Not that being played on the radio necessarily makes a song good, but radio stations tend to usually only play singles and stuff like that, not album filler.

And I’d have to say that I agree there. I might just be very easy… but I’ve never found an album which just stars the one or two songs in its name.

John is alive and well? HIS ASSASINATION WAS A LIE?! AND PAUL REALLY WAS KILLED IN A CAR CRASH IN THE 60S? =O

(For those who don’t know, there was a HUGE rumor in the 60s that Paul was dead, and they found a look-a-like to take Paul’s place in the band, but the other Beatles kept referencing his death in their songs and album covers and stuff… it’s pretty interesting some of the stuff people have came up with to support the “Paul is Dead” conspiracy. =P)

Given a choice, I’d have to go with the Stones, simply because I universally prefer the bluesy sound, but I personally agree with Joe Strummer: ‘No elvis, beatles or the rolling stones.’ None of the artists have my favourite musical traits, and both of them have had albums I never really liked. John Lenon’s solo stuff, (by which I mean ‘Working Class Hero,’ and ‘Working Class Hero,’ maybe even ‘Working Class Hero’) is pretty good.

EDIT: Oh, and I would agree the Beatles are a musically better group, with the exception of Keith Richards. That man is one of the greatest rythm guitarists of all time, and the sole reason I listen to the Stones at all.
