Butter knives are serated, they can cut too, but not nearly as bad as to the bone. Be careful next time Alyx, hope the stitches come out soon.

Alyx, we have this neat little thing at our house that holds the bagel in place. Basically, itās a little bit bigger than bagel-sized plastic container, with an opening in the top to put the bagel in and 2 slits along the side for the knife. You just put the knife in the top, and cut down. You get a near perfect cut, and remain perfectly safe!
Anyway, itās a little late for thatā¦ but I hope you feel better soon! It must be hard to type with a finger in that condition. 8)
Iād just like to say, better a steak knife than a professional Meat Slicer. But anyway, that does suck. Sorry to hear bout it.
