The real question, I guess, is will this story be considered canon, or not? I sincerely pray that no one expects to work it into the greater Avatar continuity.
I wouldn’t have thought so, most things like this are supposed to be looked at as a separate entity, since that way it can appeal to new fans, as well as fans of the orginal.
Oh well, this could be quite interesting, if done right. But then a lot of things could have been quite interesting if done properly, but weren’t. Just have to wait and see then.
The question now is who will be M. Night’s partners in crime. i.e. Who is he casting?

Mine too. It is also possible that the movies take place before (Sozens rise perhaps and the beginning of the war.) or the future, where Van Disel might make a cool adult Aang.
When does the third season start anyway?
As for plot predictions: Azula will kill Iroh at some point leading Zuko to renounce the Fire Nation and teaching Aang Fire Bending. Also Aang will die, Katara will fall for Zuko, and Toph will help Sokka to overcome whats-her-name’s death, though I don’t know who he’ll end end with yet.
No official air date has been released as of yet. Based on the pattern of the other seasons (2-21-05 to 12-2-05 and 3-17-06 to 12-1-06) and the June confirmation of season 3, people are estimating between March to June.
I read it was to start in early spring. The season thingie they say is just a rumor.
