L+R’s = Take SO and SO3, in SO the Captain is heard saying “Resoina” but in SO3 the Dictionary reads “Lesoina”. So A small mistake or Lack of knowalage, can really screw continuty.

Kory was the name of the professor/astronomer who lived in Agart in FF4. At least, that was his name in the game’s original US release as Final Fantasy II. It might’ve been translated differently for the Playstation re-release.

An explanation of Argus:
Argus was a many-eyed monster in a Greek myth that served as the guardian of something-or-other. I think Hermes killed it. Don’t remember. In any case, the notorious monster Argus in FFXI is a Hecteyes - it’s basically a puddle of goo with a bunch of eyes. Makes sense.
There’s also a gate guard in Port Bastok by the name of Argus. Also makes sense.
Also in FFXI, Argus the NM drops the item Peacock Charm. Someone in Square-enix knows their mythology, as I’m pretty sure in the myths Argus was a servant of Hera, one of whose symbols is the peacock feather. I’d have to look the myth up to be sure, though.
Oh, I vaguely remember that myth. It’s been about 4 years since I read the Odyssey and the Iliad though.
