Are you interested in the FF7 remake?

Not interested at all, not for the sake of aesthetics, at least. There’s nothing direly wrong with the original.

Sadly, I’m such a game whore I’d buy it anyway :frowning:

Hmm. I see your point (in some ways anyway Seraph) about the plot. Do you mean like, put in more stuff like Yuffie stealing your Materia and that making you check out Wutai? Stuff like that? (Note: I’m not suggesting everyone steals your materia -_-.)

Hm. Well, a lot of stuff like that DID happen. I mean, Junon lower, you had the whole “Let’s save Priscilla and spend the night in the old woman’s house!” Sure, it wasn’t PERFECT, but it was still pretty good.

And at Nibelhiem, you had the sheer confusion making people want to look around. Seriously. <_<;

Uh, Cosmo Canyon…hmm, I agree, if you HAD to go ask the elders stuff, I think that coulda being better, but Nanaki’s father quest was alright.

Bone Village…well, maybe. I liked it as it was, but I guess you could expand it.

Chocobo ranch is fine as it is. I mean seriously, you can’t expand it.

I’d have liked to see more of Fort Condor alright.

Mideel was pretty much explored what with the Cloud thing.

…I hope I don’t have to include Midgar in this, as it was plenty explored.

Anyway, the only place that I think REALLY could’ve done with some expansion was Kalm. I mean seriously, there were actually some interesting stories there if you looked around.

OH! And you should’ve had to to Zack’s hometown (don’t remember the name.)

Costa Del Sol…Fine as it is I think, but maybe you should have to go to the beach. Maybe.

Barret’s home town. Hm. Well, I dunno, it made sense as it was, they WOULDN’T want to talk to Barret so…yeah. Ah well.

I know these aren’t in order, so don’t diss me about it, it took me a while to remember em all. >:E

PS: I like the characters as they are, but that’s subjective so…lets not argue, kay? You don’t like them, I do. Simple as that I hope. <_<; (I know it’s not simple…but yeah.)

Gongaga.

Barret’s home town.

North Corel.

I’d probably buy it, as extremely bored as I am with the first few hours.

Oh yeah! Seriously, I love that game, and it’s not just because of the music.

For FF7, it would be kinda interesting, but a remake isn’t a life-or-death thing for me. However, I could change my mindonly if they put in the super-secret way that we all already know for reviving Aeris, because we know it’s buried in the code for the original. That way we won’t have to go out and buy Gamesharks to unlock it. Oh, and the Sapphire Weapon, because you know it’s in there too and it’s a kajillion times harder than Ozma, Ruby, and Penance combined mwahahaha.

Come to think of it, SE used to have plans to remake all of the PSX FF’s for the PS2, but cancelled it because of FF: TSW’s failure. Perhaps they will at least remake them for the PSP.

As for a ff7 remake for the PS3, I would be interested providing it isn’t so expensive. But I do believe that a PS3 remake would be difficult.

SE was never going to remake PSX FFs for the PS2. You just make shit up as you go along, don’t you? That’s so fucking awesome.

Rumors are not the same as plans.

I heard Yoda’s gonna be in the next game.

Maybe it will finally reveal how to battle the long-hidden Onix Weapon and Octagonal Weapon!

(Man, FARUK was awesome, he should come back.)

Silver chocobo ftw.

Only I know what you’re talking about :frowning:

I remember Faruk unless I just made it up on my head

I am probably cause I’m just a sucker for remakes

The “smiling” part reminds me of two interviews with another SE big shot.
But this dude was laughing.

Interview with IGN/GameSpy at E3:

Are there further Compilation titles that haven’t been announced yet that we can look forward to hearing about later?
Kitase: [Laughs.] I cannot talk about it.

Interview with Dengeki PlayStation magazine:

When asked if there were any more Final Fantasy VII spin-offs planned in the future, Kitase laughed, commenting, “Well, we’ll have to see. There are still characters that might be alive [from the original FFVII].”

Any bets that the first FF for PS3 could be another FFVII spin-off?
Last year RPGamer did a superb April Fool’s joke about creation of FFVII EC. After AC, BC, CC and DC, that would only be logical. N’est-ce pas?

I wouldn’t be surprised if FFVII remake becomes a subject of this year April Fool’s jokes

Laughing and smiling makes sense considering the budget he’s been given to tinker with everyone’s fan favorite. There’s still absolutely nothing concrete.

Yup, but such a thing would be too good to be true. Plus it’s probably for the better as I would want to take extended leave from work, drop out of school, etc. As for an FF7 remake, they already did: FFVIII. Angsty, boring, one dimensional characters…no thanks.

I beleve that it is more likely for FF7 is to be remade on to the PSP or DS.

Both hardware isn’t as complex as the PS3 to be in the same quality as FF7: PS3 demo.

Three of the games I’d like to get are remakes. Tales of Eternia/Destiny 2, BOF3 and Lemmings… Which I have for 15 years now.

Well FF7 and 8 are still selling brand new in the UK. Yes you hear me. One of stores near me got FF7+8 new…
