And Forever (poem)

And Forever

A love so clear,
It brings me to tears,
No-one but you,
Can make this so true.

It’s like nothing,
Nothing I could sing,
You’ve brought me joy,
Unbecoming of the boy.

I doubt I’ll know,
How you’ve made it so,
Brought me from dark
To a place beyond light.

All I’ll ever crave,
I know you will have,
My beauty you are,
My dreams you enter.

And forever…
And forever…
And forever…
I love you.

The only things I would change are the use of ‘joy’ twice in the poem; twice isn’t enough to really give the feeling of reference-type intentional repetition throughout a poem, but it is used twice, which makes it feel repetetive.
Other than that though, this is a very good, straight-forward love song that feels like it could be either new or very traditional.

It has a very Irish feel, as well, like a Seamus Heaney, W. B. Yeats love song.

Yeah, I changed that joy pretty much straight away, I just forgot to change it here.
