So, my first week of school went ok… now, my orchastra class is one of the classes I enjoy the most. playing that cello, listening to the sounds and squeaks coming from the strings and the sound of beatles? My very first song is ‘The Beatles will live Forever’ or something like that. An interesting song actually though, it’s kind of hard since I got to stretch fourth fnger all the way down on the A string to get this high pitch sound. (foregot what note it’s called.) But anyway’s any of you guys heard of the song?
Also, I love this song we’re playing it’s called ‘Concerto Grosso’ (I think) Any of you heard of that one?
I think it’s spelt orchestra…
Anyway I play the cello too, :ah-ha!: though sometimes it annoys me, practice annoys me. Bah!
(Practice or practise, I know both words talk about slightly different things…)
…
Oh! And has this website been running really sluggish for anyone else?
Never heard of the songs, bt sounds like an interesting course. But I could never get into Music lessons, I usually just mucked about with my mates, when we had to take music.

Yes, I was wondering if it was my internet connection, or the site itself. I guess it’s the latter.
Orchestrated music is alright, It’s certainly not bad.
But, uh, Manus… What do you mean only a few things can be compared to orchestra? A lot, and I mean A LOT, of music use orchestra… Metallica for example, had S+M. There’s also a German metal band, Haggard, that made use of a lot of instruments, to make a story in music for one of their albums, “Awakening the Centuries” I think it was called.
Although I could be totally wrong, and symphony, and orchestra, could be 2 totally different things.
A concerto grosso is a term for a specified type of concerto applied to an arrangment of soloist strings. The composer simply got lazy, or that’s not the title, or there was no title recorded.

My Eighth grade math tacher had this theory that composers and mathematicians were “Lazy Bums”.
